Average Salaries

Stasha and I have decided to post her income as a travel nurse to help anyone who might be confused about how much money he or she will make as a travel nurse. We remember how confusing it was starting out. Without real numbers, it's hard to estimate how your salary will compare to what it is in a permanent position. We hope the tables below can shed some light on this confusing topic.

Fine Print

All incomes are after-tax, monthly incomes. We want you to know how much money you'll see in your bank account. Stasha claims zero dependents and at a single rate so you may see a slight difference depending on how you claim. We also have $200 deducted every two weeks for health insurance. "Tax Home Rent" refers to the amount of money we pay per month for our tax home that we return to every year. If you do not know what a tax home is, TraveTax has a FAQ page and will personally answer any questions you might have. You will also notice we do not have any furniture fees at our tax home because we already have our furniture there. Our furniture rent in West Chester, PA  is so low because we only rented the absolute basics and decided to buy the rest at garage sales to save some money. The income from the Carlisle, PA location is based on a 40-hour work week; all others are based on 36 hours.
